Olympic Cycling Track

Olympic Cycling Track is a bicycle racing contest generally held on particularly built banked tracks or velodromes (but many events are held at older velodromes where the track banking is relatively thin) using track bicycles. Track racing is also done on grass tracks marked out on flat sports fields. These types of events are especially common during the summer in Scotland at Highland Games gatherings, but there are also regular summer events in England. Now enjoying a boom in reputation, the action-packed sport of Track Cycling has featured at every Game. Olympic Cycling Track is in first a regular part since 1896. There will be two team events: the Team Sprint, which is actually similar to a time trial, and the Team Pursuit, held over 16 laps for men and 12 laps for women. London 2012 Olympic will present Olympic Cycling Track from Thursday, 2 to Thursday 7 August 2012, at the Velodrome. 188 (104 men, 84 women) athletes will contest for 12 Medals. You can get Olympic Cycling Track Tickets on affordable prices from Global Ticket Market.
